Meet the Team
William
CEO / Head Photographer
Growing up, William always carried his mom's point-and-shoot camera around, snapping photos of LA life and adventures with friends. He only saw it as a hobby and didn't think much of it. As high school came around, he fell heavily into arts and took more courses in film photography. The classes didn't seem like school work for him, but rather, a time to play and be creative. William loved it so much that his hobby for photography grew and led to his first DSLR camera purchase. From there, his techniques only improved over time, which lead him to fall deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole of photography.
William's biggest inspirational photographer growing up was no doubt Joe McNally, a National Geographic photographer based out of New York City, holding four awards from the World Press Photo. He loved how versatile McNally was with his lighting and learned the word "photography”is actually a greek derivative of "foto grafia", which means to draw with light. Of course, he learned his lighting techniques too through all of McNally's tutorial courses he purchased online.
As William inched closer towards the direction of fashion photography, his biggest inspirational and favorited photographers evolved to Lara Jade, an award winning fashion photographer based out of New York City, and Mark Seliger, who is known for his beautiful portraiture work.
Julia
Founder / Creative Director

Julia is the Creative Director and founder of W Studio, where she oversees creatives primarily in fashion. Growing up in southern California, Julia always had a sense of what fashion was, a sense of style- her parents always talked about the importance of making a first impression and that's stayed with her. She began her career in advertising and marketing in fashion. Julia is an eternal optimist and brings positive influence to each project. Her superpower is an unfailing ability to inspire enthusiasm and confidence in what she and her team creates.
With clients across a variety of fashion brands, Julia loves taking a thoughtful, strategic approach to uncover a client’s brand story, and create effective, compelling business tools with an exceptional high taste level. Julia sees the bigger picture and applies this perspective to her work, whether she’s directing a photo shoot or designing a dynamic new strategy to help brands elevate their style and story.
One of Julia’s favorite quotes from the book The Work-Life Balance Myth: Rethinking Your Optimal by David J. McNeff. "All of us have Seven Slices in our lives: our Family Slice, our Professional Slice, our Personal Slice, our Physical Slice, our Intellectual Slice, our Emotional Slice, and our Spiritual Slice. These all need to be served in some fashion- and in serving them, they, in turn, serve us.”
Alice
Marketing & Operations Director
After graduating college with a dual degree in English and Business Marketing, Alice knew she wanted to pursue a career in fashion, while combining both of her passions in writing and marketing. Throughout her experiences in several positions within the fashion industry, Alice garnered her skills in fashion writing, branding and marketing. She continues to combine both creativity and strategy in her role at W Studio.

Alice is largely influenced by minimalistic styles and designs, leaning more towards neutral tones and muted colors. On the weekends, you can find Alice hanging out with her brown labradoodle Bella, reading on the beach, or checking out new restaurants.
Lauren
Head Stylist
Lauren is an east coast gal currently living in LA. Growing up, she always had a love for playing dress up. She would spend hours digging around her dress-up box and venturing into her mom’s closet, putting together endless outfits for hours. As she got older, she always knew she wanted to work in fashion. Once she found out that there was a job where you can put together outfits for a living, she right away knew it was the perfect match for her.
Lauren graduated from FIDM with an associates degree in Visual Communications. Upon graduating, she dove right into the world of styling and now has a few years of experience under her belt working on the celebrity side of styling, as well as the e-commerce side. When it comes to fashion, Lauren truly does not have one sense of style. Life is just too short to pick one aesthetic! If she had to pick one pair of shoes to spice up any outfit, it would definitely be her worn-out brown cowboy boots.
When Lauren is not putting together outfits, you can catch her at your local thrift store buying everything and anything. You can also find her outside exploring new cities and places, trying new foods, and capturing it all on her point and shoot film camera!
Paulina
Digital Content Creator
Paulina is a true Southern California girl. Born and raised in the heart of Los Angeles, she loves living in the city and experiencing everything it has to offer. Paulina fell in love with fashion at a very young age. Her mother always emphasized the importance of making a good first impression. This meant her outfits were always stylish and on point wherever she went!
Her love for dressing up ever since she was young ultimately led her to the realization that she wants to work in the fashion industry. She went to school for Marketing and Apparel Merchandising, from where she honed in on her skills to pursue a career in fashion and social media.
If you ever want to reach Paulina, you can always find her at her favorite coffee shop or an indoor cycling class!
Rachel
Junior Photographer
Rachel took an interest in photography at a young age after her grandma taught her how to use her camera. She quickly realized that she had a passion for portraiture and fashion, spending all her free time after school doing creative shoots with friends. She followed that passion into college at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she received her BFA in Art & Design.

Rachel finds a lot of her photographic inspiration through traveling and being outdoors. Anytime she's somewhere new, whether that’s within her home base of SoCal, or a different country entirely, she's always thinking about how amazing a fashion shoot would look in that location. One of her favorite photographers, Norman Parkinson, revolutionized fashion photography by bringing his subjects outdoors, which was uncommon in his time. His work is another reason why combining unique locations with fashion is Rachel's favorite way to get creative.

When she's not taking photos or planning a new shoot concept, Rachel is most likely hitting the road with some friends for an adventure or traveling somewhere she's never been!
